Organic Coffees

At Araku, all of our specialty coffees are certified organic. But our approach goes much further than simply not using chemicals. All our coffees come from regenerative agriculture, the aim of which is to protect and restore natural resources, soil, water and biodiversity. In 20 years, more than 30 million trees have been planted to ensure the development of our agroforestry production while restoring ecosystems.

Organic Coffees : regenerative agriculture

We produce our organic specialty coffees exclusively according to the principles of regenerative agriculture. Unlike conventional agriculture which deprives the soil of its nutrients, ARAKU has designed and patented organic bioinoculants which enrich and nourish the soil.

Araku represents the largest biodynamic coffee plantation in the world

Biodynamics is a holistic and ecological agricultural system that relies on special preparations to stimulate soil life. This practice is based on a lunar and planetary calendar to plan agricultural activities. Biodynamics aims to create a harmonious balance between agriculture and nature in order to produce high-quality organic coffees, constantly improving, while preserving biodiversity.

Regenerative agriculture is an agricultural approach that aims to restore and revitalize agricultural ecosystems while improving their resilience and sustainability. We believe it is essential to follow this approach throughout the production of our organic coffee, as it allows us to benefit from many environmental and health benefits.

The use of agroforestry production methods induces a beneficial and complementary diversity of vegetation. This way of doing things has allowed us to restore biodiversity throughout the Araku region. Since the beginning of the 2000s, 30 million trees have been planted and which produce exceptional organic coffee every year.
